Jeffrey Levin (Sound Designer)

Jeffrey is a composer, sound designer, and musician based in Chicago IL. Jeffrey has contributed original music and sound designs for over seventy productions for various theaters in and outside of Chicago. He is an ensemble member with Cor Theatre and has collaborated with Steppenwolf, Strawdog, Oracle, Emerald City, Jackalope, Stage Left, TUTA, Step Up Productions, About Face, Dead Writers, Chicago Fringe Opera, Collaboraction, Hope Summer Repertory Theatre, ChiArts High School, and Columbia College. He has received four Joseph Jefferson award nominations and one win for outstanding sound design in THE HAIRY APE with Oracle Theatre. He is also the winner of both the Edes Foundation Award for Emerging artist and the Kleinman Composition Competition for his original work for Clarinet and Electronics. Upcoming projects include WHAT OF THE NIGHT co-production with Cor and Stage Left and HER MAJESTY’S WILL with Lifeline Theatre. Jeffrey received his Masters of Music in Composition at DePaul University and Bachelors of Music in Composition at Columbia College Chicago.
