When are drop-off and pick-up times?
Drop-off is each morning from 8:30 – 9:00am. Pick-up is from 2:30 – 3:00pm. There is also an option for extended care through 5:00pm.
What does a normal day at camp look like?
We aim to make every day at Camp Playhouse a little bit different, but on any given day your child might be playing theater games, working on theatrical crafts, reading a “script,” writing their own story, or enjoying some free, outdoor play with fellow campers.
Is there a final performance?
Yes! At 1PM on the Friday of each week, the campers will show off what they have learned in a cumulative performance. Friends and family are welcome to attend. There will be a small reception following.
Do you have an option for later afternoon or evening care?
Our extended care option allows for supervised play from 3:00 – 5:00pm, for parents who work or need a later pick-up time. This option is offered for an additional $35/week.
What if I’m running late to pick up or drop off?
In the event you are running late either for pick up or drop off, we’ll ask that you contact our designated administrative phone number. This contact information will be issued to you in the weeks leading up to camp.
Can I make up a missed day in another session?
Not at this time. Each session is designed to progress over the course of the week to the final performance on Friday. We’d love to see you for another week though!
How strict are your age restrictions?
Camp curriculum is structured for the stated age group. We therefore think your child is likely to have the best experience attending a camp for their grade level. Some exceptions may be made for extenuating circumstances. Please give us a call if you’d like to discuss.
Can I register for a half-day or only part of the week?
We ask that you register for a week when your child can be present 100% of the time (that way, we have the best chance to learn and grow with them, and to incorporate them into the final day’s performance). We may be able to make exceptions, however. Please call: 773.891.8985 and speak with one of our team members for more information.
What do I do after I register?
You’ll receive an email confirmation with a summary of your payment. Please be sure to mark camp dates on your calendar, and fill out the emergency contact form included in that email. Two weeks before your camp begins, you’ll hear from us with more details about scheduling, introduce you to your child’s instructors, and remind you of important details (like daily packed lunch and the final performance date & time).

How much are summer camps?
Registration fees vary based on age:
- Kindergarten – Grade 3: $250/week
- Grade 4 – Grade 6: $300/week
- Extended care: $35 add-on per week
Do you offer any discounts?
- Residents of Old Irving Park (must have 60618 zip code) may receive 10% off
- 2017 subscribers may receive 15% off
- Families registering for more than one child OR more than one session may receive 10% off each subsequent registration

Can I exchange my registration?
Yes, we can exchange camp registration up to 30 days prior for a $25 exchange fee. Please call 773.891.8985 for assistance.
Do you offer refunds?
Unfortunately, no, we cannot offer any refunds.
Do I pack lunch or is that provided?
Students should come with a packed lunch each day. Please note: we have a *strict* nut-free policy, to ensure the safety of all campers.
What is the camper to teacher ratio?
Total camp size may vary, but we will have a minimum of two teachers at all times, and at least a 10:1 ratio.
