Marketing & Administrative Assistant

Windy City Playhouse seeks a detail-oriented individual to serve as our Marketing & Administrative Assistant. This is a part-time position (20 hours per week). This role reports to the Managing Director, who supervises both the administrative / finance and marketing departments.

Responsibilities:

Administrative / Finance (50%)

  • Answer phone and institutional emails
  • Maintain company mail log
  • Restock basic office supplies
  • Coordinate itemization of company credit card

Marketing (50%)

  • Assist in the creation and calendar tracking of social media content
  • Assist in the creation and calendar tracking of email marketing content
  • Oversee free ticket initiative, extending complimentary tickets to designated nonprofit partners
  • Serve as day-time box office liaison, fielding patron calls and emails and completing ticket sales transactions

Experience, Skills, Attributes:

  • 1 year in nonprofit arts organization or significant internship / educational experience
  • Detail-oriented; strong sense of follow-through
  • Enthusiasm for Chicago theater scene and immersive genre
  • Willingness to adapt and change course at a moment’s notice
  • Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable on the phone (with vendors, artists, and patrons)
  • Familiarity with Google Suite
