A RECIPE FOR DISASTER begins previews on Wednesday, October 6th, 2021, and is currently on sale through December 26th, 2021.

How much are tickets?

What are VIP tickets?
Guests have the option to upgrade their tickets to “VIP” (limited to 30 guests per performance). VIP admission includes a pre-show charcuterie board and cocktail, prime seating, and a post-show gift bag that includes dessert, a signed photo of Chef Rick Bayless and the cast, and a party favor. The VIP upgrade is $50 on top of the general admission price for any showtime. To upgrade your visit, simply enter “VIP” in the promotion code box at checkout, or call: 773.891.8985.

What are Partial View tickets?
These seats are located in positions in the dining room that may limit your viewing experience. While most of the tables in the dining room provide clear views of the entire performance, the tables that we’ve listed as partial view may inhibit your ability to view scenes happening on the other side of the room.

Why is Partial View cheaper?
Because A RECIPE FOR DISASTER is an immersive experience, we want everyone to have the opportunity to follow the moments they choose. The seats listed as partial view may only enable you to easily view scenes happening close-by or in the middle of the dining room. As a result of this, the creative team feels it is important that prices reflect the potential difference in experience.

Will I still be able to see if I’m sitting at a Partial View table?
Absolutely! The dining room is an open floor plan that makes it easy for our actors to be observed from all corners of the room. That said, there may be a few scenes that are challenging to fully follow from these tables, but it won’t affect your understanding of the show as a whole.

Am I still allowed to move around if I’m at a Partial View table?
Of course! We encourage each of our patrons to move around the dining room at their leisure, regardless of what table they are assigned to. Your assigned table will be the table at which your food and drink will be served.

Do you offer any discounts?
Seniors, students, military personnel, full-time teachers, and members of the theater industry are offered $15 off tickets to any performance, excluding Saturdays at 8:00pm. Please call 773.891.8985 to reserve these tickets. Please note: students & industry members will be asked for proof of affiliation at will call.

What about group rates?
When purchasing tickets for 10+ guests, we offer a 10% discount. Please call our box office at 773.891.8985 to book your group today!

Can I exchange my tickets?
Yes, tickets may be exchanged up to 48 hours in advance of a showtime. Please note: there is a $15 fee per ticket being exchanged.

Do you offer refunds?
Unfortunately, no, all sales are final and we cannot offer any refunds.

What about in the case of a COVID-19 resurgence?
Our team is monitoring the COVID-19 virus carefully, especially in light of the delta variant. If we have to cancel a performance due to government restrictions, we will reschedule patrons for a future performance once it is safe to reopen. Alternatively, in this instance, you would be eligible for a refund, or you could elect to turn your ticket into a donation (as Windy City Playhouse is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.)
